This Accounting Analyst Role falls within the Finance Department which is comprised of a number of individuals responsible for accounting and financial reporting. This position reports directly to the Manager, Finance and Payroll.

**The Role**:
**Required Qualifications**:

- Experience working efficiently within NetSuite Accounting Software.
- Experience recording Monthly Funding Revenue Transactions accurately based on multi-year Contracts (including monthly Change Orders).
- Experience reading through and understanding 200+ detailed Annual Revenue Contracts, Respective Terms and Conditions, as well as ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Bachelor Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Mathematics, or relevant discipline.
- Working towards a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or relevant designation is ideal.

- Have a proven ability to establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

**Day in the life**:

- Must possess a strong understanding of regulatory reporting requirements and deadlines
- The position requires flexibility to accommodate routine weekly and monthly tasks as well as fluctuating ad-hoc tasks and special projects as needed.

**Daily / as needed**:

- Revenue Contracts maintenance, recording revenue transactions, analysis and reporting of Contract Changes to management.
- Produce reports, reconciliations, and filings for the Finance Management team as required.
- Provide support to other departments as needed.

**Weekly**:

- Maintains signed final contracts and supporting documentation for ongoing review requirements.
- Administer and negotiate program level Contract Changes by obtaining appropriate information from Operation Program Directors and via conversation with Funding Organization’s Representatives.
- Ensure revenue is being recognized in accordance with contracted terms and conditions as well as accounting framework.
- Recording of payments received, monitoring outstanding receivables, and subsequent follow-up with the clients as required.
- Timely and accurate monthly processing and reconciliation of revenue, deferred revenue, accounts receivable, and cash receipts.

**Monthly**:

- Reconcile revenue, deferred revenue, accounts receivable, and cash receipts, to ensure revenues are recognized in accordance with Accounting Standards for Not-For-Profits and Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise.
- Review expenses, prepaid expenses, accounts payable, and cash disbursements, to ensure expenses are recognized in accordance with Accounting Standards for Not-For-Profits and Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise.
- Complete regular variance analysis to ensure revenues and expenses are aligned with expectations and budgets.

- Salary Range: $43,000 - $53,000
