About the job:
Red Hat's Customer Success team is looking for an experienced, enterprise-level engineer to join us as an OpenShift Technical Account Manager in Canada. In this role, you will work with a small set of enterprise customers to provide architectural guidance and implementation advice for the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform to meet their business needs. You will provide a level of premium support that builds, maintains, and grows long-lasting customer loyalty by tailoring support for each customer's environment, facilitating collaboration with their other vendors, and advocating on their behalf. Simultaneously, you'll work closely with internal engineering, product management, and technical support organizations to debug, test, and resolve issues. Well-qualified, home-based applicants across Canada will be considered to work remotely.

What you will do:
- Perform technical reviews and share knowledge to proactively identify and prevent issues in both English and French- Gain an understanding of customers' technical infrastructure and environment, hardware, and products- Partner closely with internal engineering, product management, and technical support teams to debug, test, and resolve issues- Provide advice and guidance to customers about their current and future Red Hat products- Manage customer use cases and maintain clear and concise case documentation- Manage customer cases, maintain clear and concise case documentation, and deliver value to customers through documenting and sharing learnings from cases through a defined knowledge management process- Serve as the customer's advocate within Red Hat

What you will bring:

- 5+ years of experience working in a support, development, engineering, IT, or a quality assurance organization
- Administration experience with Platform-as-a-Service cloud solutions like Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform
- Expertise in enterprise cloud solutions like Platform-as-a-Service, containers, Kubernetes, cloud management, and IT automation
- Competent comprehension of enterprise architecture and key business grow factors
- Bilingual in French and English

The following are considered a plus:

- Telecommunications or service provider industry experience
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent in a technology-related discipline, ideally computer science or engineering
- Experience working in DevOps environments
- Software engineering background; experience with RPM-based Linux and Java technologies
- Good comprehension of continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) concepts
- Familiarity with source code management tools like Git or Apache Subversion (SVN)
- Familiarity with a variety of hardware vendors
- Prior experience working in a technical leadership or mentorship role
- Ability to manage multiple issues and projects with shifting priorities and timelines
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey complex information to customers both clearly and concisely
- Willingness to travel for customer visits and events within the region
