Position Title: Accounting Clerk
Department: Finance-Shared Services
Reports To: Supervisor - Accounting & Banking
**Job Summary**:
The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for performing clerical accounting work including processing and management of financial/accounting information and transactions and records to ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounts receivable and cash.

**What You Will Do**:
Cash Applications/Banking- Prepare and record deposits for cafeteria sales
- Using PC-based banking software package, reconcile bank accounts on a daily/weekly basis to ensure accuracy of banking records and detect any possible fraudulent activities
- Transfer money between divisional bank accounts and set up wires as required
- Identify and correct structural integrity flaws in EFT/IAT files transmitted to the bank
- Identify and provide direction for correction of input flaws in EFT/IAT files transmitted to the bank
- Prepare bi-weekly employee expense reimbursements
- Prepare and record payroll entries from ADP reports
- Communicate with bank contacts, internal and external partners for inquiries regarding incoming and outgoing payments
- Prepare and enter any cash-related journal entries as required
- Prepare and reconcile monthly bank statements and miscellaneous cash accounts
- Responsible for monitoring banking service charges
- Assure confidentiality of information
- As assigned perform analytical work related to specific activities and projects
- Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct
- Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures
**What You Will Need**:
**Education**:
A post-secondary diploma in business, accounting or finance or equivalent.
**Experience**:
- 1-2 years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Experience with MS Excel and Word is required
- Experience with large ERP systems such as JDE or SAP software is an asset
- Highly organized, proactive, and ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced collaborative environment
- Attention to detail
- Problem solving skills
- Able to work independently or collaboratively in a team as required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with partners and customers throughout all levels of the organization
