**Expected Average number of hours**: 37.5 weekly (not a guarantee of hours)
As a member of the Finance team, the Billing/Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for the submission and review of claims including OHIP, WSIB and Insurance, preparing invoices and statements, preferred accommodation, physician stipends, processing payments, monitoring of aged accounts, bank deposits, answering billing enquires, daily and month end closings. This position will provide coverage for the other Billing/Accounts Receivable clerks.
The successful incumbent will have strong communication and problem solving skills and have the ability to work within a team environment. Additional duties may be assigned as required by the Controller. This position contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
**Qualifications**:
- Post secondary degree/diploma
- 3 years experience in accounts receivable/accounting
- Excellent computer skills, including working knowledge of Excel
- Experience with hospital billing and accounts receivable computer modules is required with preference given to Meditech
- The ability to work independently
- Requires attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skiils
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis is required
