**SUMMARY**:
In this position you have a strong technical background that plays a key role in supporting the controls team through design, programming and implementation activities required to complete assigned projects. You assist the Controls Manager and Senior Controls Specialist with guiding Junior Controls Specialists on performing various tasks, if needed.

**REPORTING LINES**:
The Intermediate Controls Specialist reports to the Controls Manager.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

Project Execution
- Responsible to complete deliverables as identified by the project plan.
- Responsible to escalate any incomplete deliverables from project scope.
- Responsible to execute agreed quoted design within budget, scope, timing.
- Responsible to escalate when there is a shortage of work.
- Responsible to assist and train other employees and QA all work.

Project Status
- Responsible to report scope completed on projects and time allocations.
- Responsible to manage status and service reports.

Research Development/Sales Support
- Attend meetings, visit customers/suppliers/partners when required.

**GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Active role in assisting with questions or tasks to guide junior staff.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and company policy.
- Complete tasks assigned by manager, as required.

**CORE TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES**

- **Hardware Design**: AutoCAD
- **Controls/HMI Programming**: Allen Bradley, Phoenix Contact, Siemens, Schneider
- **MES Programming**: Activeplant, Ignition

**EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**:

- University Degree or College Diploma in Electrical/Computer Engineering.
- Experience working with controls and automation, and systems integration in a manufacturing, or similar environment.
- Ability to travel and work within the United States.
