**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the ICC Manager, the Culinary Systems/Recipes Coordinator is responsible for recipe and inventory systems administration management for the Centre for Hospitality and Culinary Arts (CHCA). The incumbent is responsible for organizing the recipe scheduling for over 4000 classes per semester through converting course pack recipes into lab requisitions for the Inventory Control Centre (ICC) using the department’s food cost control software (Adaco). The incumbent works directly with Faculty/Course Coordinators and Purchasing to ensure all recipes are entered properly and converted into usable purchasing/inventory units for use in lab production and for purchasing requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Determines the schedules of between 150 to 300+ classes per week, per semester, which require instructional materials such as ingredients, equipment and packaging in order to prioritize recipe input into the system (Adaco) on a weekly basis.
- Ensures appropriate sign-off of existing recipes and requisitions before they become active in the system.
- Organizes received information into a usable format in order to process information into the system.
- Provides technical support to the ICC and ConEd team in planning production requirements by comparing/contrasting data from past semesters.
- Guides co-workers in their daily use of the system, to facilitate their understanding and use of the requisition database.
- Provides one-on-one training to staff members on the accurate and proper entry and use of information in the system (e.g. During onboarding).
- Provides accurate and complete information and documentation to the Culinary Procurement Specialist for efficient and effective procurement.
- Creates an event plan report in order to organize efficient work activities for divisional procurement staff and to enable the production team to manage daily workflow.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Educational and Experience Requirements**:

- Two-year culinary diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution or equivalent work experience related to progressive inventory/software experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a large hotel, restaurant, or catering environment.
- Food Handling and Safety Certificate, WHIMIS, First Aid, and Smart Serve are required.
- Minimum three (3) years progressive inventory/software experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a large hotel, restaurant, or catering environment.
- Must possess an excellent understanding of the culinary environment and operations and have experience with purchasing and inventory logistics.
- Experience in food and beverage accounting, cost control and inventory management systems.

**Skills and Attributes:
- Must possess the ability to lead, organize and delegate tasks.
- Advanced computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and food cost control software required.
- High level of attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy are required.
- Ability to lift up to and between 20 kg or 44 lbs (i.e., cases of ingredients, boxes of paper, etc.).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, interpersonal, and teamwork skills at a professional level.
- Demonstrated commitment to uphold the College’s priorities on diversity and equity.
