**Who you are**
The Regulatory Affairs Branch Vice-President’s Office is looking for someone to join their team who has outstanding organizational skills and the ability to undertake and complete multiple, concurrent tasks under pressure and tight deadlines.
**What you’ll do**
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Facilitating and coordinating the Branch´s planning and performance management processes, supporting the Vice-President and the Regulatory Affairs Branch (RAB) executive management team with the Branch´s planning and performance management, organizational development initiatives, and for providing strategic advice and support to the Vice-President.
- For planning and performance management, the Branch Planning Officer is accountable for ensuring that RAB plans are well positioned and executed effectively on behalf of the Vice
- President, his/her management team and Regulatory Affairs as a whole. As the RAB corporate contact for planning and performance management, the Branch Planning Officer is an active participant of the Integrated Planning and Performance Management Committee and works to develop, implement, maintain and continually improve on the organizations corporate-wide planning and performance management. This also includes ensuring its effectiveness and implementation within RAB by liaising with staff and management within RAB directorates. The Branch Planning Officer will ensure that RAB plans are coordinated with the plans of the other branches of the CNSC, as required. This will be achieved by establishing and maintaining links to the Planning Officers within the various Operations Branches, directorates or with designated Officers within other Branches or Offices.
- In their role in supporting the Vice-President and the executive RAB management team, the Branch Planning Officer coordinates and oversees RAB action plans, provides management with advice, manages the RAB forward agenda by advancing files and initiatives, establishes processes for projects and initiatives and co-ordinates timely reporting. In addition to the functions of planning and performance management and RAB management support, the Planning Officer is also accountable for providing policy, program and managerial recommendations and advice to the Vice-President, and participating actively as a member of the RAB Management Committee.
**Essential Qualifications**:
**Education**: A University Degree with experience in planning and performance management or an equivalent combination of education, relevant experience and job knowledge.
**Language Requirements**:

**Experience**:
- Developing and providing strategic recommendations, advice and briefings to senior management
- Preparing written documents for senior management (such as correspondence, briefing notes and presentations)
