Options Community Services is a non-profit organization dedicated to delivering social services across the Southern Fraser region (Surrey, Delta, White Rock and Langley) from early childhood to seniors. Our comprehensive range of programs and services relies on collaborative relationships with individuals, businesses, community groups and government bodies to create focused, effective and responsive resources for the community._**
**Position Overview**:
Are you passionate about making a real impact in people’s lives? Join us as a **Program Coordinator** and play a pivotal role in empowering residents to thrive in their living, working, learning, and social environments. In this rewarding position, you'll offer direct emotional support, facilitate skill development, and connect individuals with vital resources both on-site and in the community. You'll work with a diverse population, including those at risk of homelessness or grappling with medical, mental health, or addiction challenges, helping them navigate the complexities of social housing and build strong, supportive networks.
**Qualifications**:
A certificate in **Community Social Service Worker** or a related discipline is preferred, along with 2 years of direct support experience with individuals facing housing barriers, or 3 years of similar work experience. Key skills include discretion in building supportive relationships, understanding of BC Housing and social service systems, cultural diversity awareness, crisis intervention, mediation, program coordination, and proficiency in communication and time management. Familiarity with relevant resources and regulations, along with basic computer skills, are also essential.
This role requires the incumbent to undergo a Police Information Check (PIC), and a Vulnerable Sector Check by the Ministry of Justice.
