**Project Overview**: Intercultural In-Home Support Pilot Project (IISPP) aims to serve the low-income older adults in Cloverdale and Fleetwood, by providing a range of services to help them age well at their own homes. The core services offered are light housekeeping, transportation, volunteer drop offs (grocery deliveries, pet supplies, books), friendly visiting, meal delivery to low-income and otherwise vulnerable seniors. Additionally, the project will promote social inclusion of seniors by improving access to online services, financial literacy and digital literacy by providing in-home technology support via one-one sessions. The project is volunteer driven as 70% of the services will be provided by volunteers.

**Job Summary**: The Program Coordinator is primarily responsible for project planning and service delivery. The Program Coordinator provides leadership to the project team, while liaising with government and municipality representatives, regulatory body, etc.

**Key duties and responsibilities**:

- Develop, coordinate and promote nonmedical home support services of IISPP in Fleetwood and Cloverdale with the goal of supporting older adults to age in place.
- Responsible for the client intakes and volunteer recruitment to meet the project targets.
- Responsible for the administration, management and monitoring of services and project outcomes.
- Strong leadership to the IISPP team including 2-3 staff members and volunteers.
- Monitor the needs of seniors, create community responses, and establish partnerships to further meet senior needs.
- In collaboration with PICS Communications team, ensure that all promotional marketing materials are updated. Create a marketing and promotion plan.
- Arrange for translations of marketing materials as necessary;
- Document and evaluate the progress of work through monthly reports to the Senior’s Manager.
- Maintain appropriate records for evaluation, and meet funders’ and organizational requirements.
- Ensure there are appropriate policies and procedures in place as the project develops;
- Conducting regular intakes and monitoring needs of participants
- Coordination and supervision of Housekeeping services, including risk management, scheduling and supervision of housekeepers
- Strong management of external partners including FH, and hospitals
- Oversight of other IISPP services including Transportation, Meals Delivery, Volunteer Drop-offs, friendly visiting and others.
- Reporting and Data management

**Knowledge and Experience**
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. geriatrics, social work, family studies, psychology, etc.), or equivalent education and experience
- At least 4 years’ experience working with seniors
- Experience in a similar role.

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to design creative, sustainable solutions to meet needs of seniors
- Strong writing skills and ability to produce formal, anecdotal and statistical reports
- Strong computer knowledge and experience including Windows, Office and custom online reporting tools
- Knowledge of relevant community resources, service providers and networks within Cloverdale and Fleetwood as well as city-wide seniors serving organizations
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
