Job Summary

The Manager, Employee Family Assistance Program is responsible for managing the organization's Employee Family Assistance Program (EFAP) to support management and employee efforts dealing with medical and behavioral issues affecting the job, as well as the personal performance. The role helps plans, develops, and implements organizational EFAP initiatives in support of strategic business goals and aligned with CN’s Wellness Strategy. Through strong leadership, innovative thinking, and a collaborative approach, the incumbent plays a key role in promoting the EFAP and CN’s Wellness Strategy.

Main Responsibilities

Day-to-Day Initiatives
- Support the local network of peer support groups
- Work closely with the Senior Advisory Committee (SAC) to provide timely and relevant information about the program
- Lead special projects and initiatives in line with organizational mission and vision

Strategic Plan and Program Development
- Develop and deploy CN’s Global Wellness Strategy and Programs to address employee needs
- Monitor, measure, and act upon utilization data for programs offered
- Design, develop, and communicate policies and programs offered through the EFAP
- Oversee contract administration with external service providers and program governance to ensure quality of services being provided
- Follow Employee Assistance Program (EAP) industry standards, procedures, and practices
- Identify opportunities for improvement, and develop strategies that help maintain a high quality and effective program

Stakeholders’ Engagement
- Communicate data to targeted stakeholders
- Partner Communications team to increase engagement across the organization
- Prepare communications and educational materials promoting EFAP and CN’s Wellness Strategy

Working Conditions

The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. The role requires being on-call to respond to critical incidences. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure, and stress. The role requires exercising confidentiality, tact, diplomacy, and independent judgment.

**Requirements**:
Experience

Human Resources
- Between 5 to 8 years of relevant Human Resources (HR) experience

Education/Certification/Designation
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or relevant field
