We operate two (2) adjoining hotel properties - Sheraton Parkway Toronto North Hotel and Best Western Parkway Hotel, conveniently located at Highway 7 and Leslie Street in Richmond Hill. Accessible via YRT /VIVA transit, and Highways 7, 404 and 407.

We are currently recruiting for a full time Assistant Housekeeping Manager to report directly to our Housekeeping Manager.

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager assists the Housekeeping Manager with the daily operations of the Housekeeping team, and spearheads the Housekeeping team while the Manager is away.

**Responsibilities as follows**:

- Takes responsibility for the daily housekeeping operation and makes decisions in the absence of the

Manager
- Assists the Housekeeping Manager with hiring, training, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating

and coaching associates
- Ensures the uniform and personal appearance of all housekeeping associates are clean and professional
- Acts as a liaison to coordinate the efforts of Housekeeping, Maintenance, Front Office and Laundry
- Documents and resolves issues with discrepant rooms with the Front Desk
- Ensures communication to next supervisor shift
- Ensures all required reports and paperwork is completed and distributed as required
- Runs sold room reports, verifies rooms status, determine discrepant rooms
- Prioritizes room cleaning
- Produce schedules for employees in accordance with staffing guides/productivity requirements. Review

and adjust staffing daily to ensure optimum staffing levels.
- Review assignments of employees and make adjustments.
- Ordering supplies
- Ensure smooth functioning of Laundry
- Conduct guest room inspections
- Train associates on ABC’s of Housekeeping and conduct Process audits of ABC cleaning
- Monitoring and running reports from GXP and IVR
- Prepare daily accounting reports
- Communicate throughout the day with Front Office and other departments to ensure total guest

satisfaction.
- Monitor consumption and order replacement of guest and cleaning supplies.
- Other duties as may be assigned by the Housekeeping Manager, Director of Rooms Division and/or

General Manager

**Job Requirements**:

- Must hold valid legal authorization to work in Canada
- Must be available for an in person interview without delay
- Must have at least 1 year of housekeeping Supervisory experience
- Must have a minimum of 2-3 years Room Attendant experience
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have the ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with guests and employees
- Must have the ability to read and write English
- Must have organizational and problem solving skills
- Must be self-motivated and detail oriented
- Must be flexible with shift availability - will involve weekends
- Knowledge and experience of GXP and IVR an asset
