For more than 20 years, Kinbridge Community Association (Kinbridge) has been serving the needs of local residents and their families by providing programs and services aimed at strengthening our community of over 34,000 residents living in south Cambridge, Christopher Champlain and Southwood neighbourhoods. As a grass roots organization, Kinbridge focuses on actively engaging and empowering community through positive relationship building and the facilitation of programs and services that embrace equity, inclusion and diversity for all ages.

The Kinbridge Camp Coordinator is responsible for supervising and leading a Kinbridge summer camp. The camp program is designed to provide children ages 4-12 years old an opportunity to explore fun activities, experience new adventures, and develop positive relationships. Kinbridge is an accredited HighFive organization, and our Summer Camp Programs follow the HighFive quality standards for children’s programs. The Camp Coordinator will be responsibility for ensuring the HighFive principles are implemented within programming.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide leadership, supervision, and safety guidelines to program participants, Leaders-In-Training (LITs), Camp Leaders, Activity Aides, and volunteers on and off-site
- Provide leadership in developing and implementing existing and new plans for weekly themed programs
- Plan and deliver programs in accordance with all Centre policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Collaborate with co-workers to deliver camp activities on a daily basis
- Ensure that program sites, equipment, and materials are safe, clean, and sanitized
- Ensure proper set-up and clean-up of facility is completed
- Attend and actively participate in all training/orientations, staff meetings, and special events
- Ensure safety of program staff, participants, volunteers, and LITs
- Must express a caring attitude when working with children and camp team
- Work on a day-to-day basis from a team-work perspective, attending staff meetings, and trainings
- Provide quality and friendly customer service to all
- Maintain respectful relationships with community partners
- Maintain communication with all staff, participants and their parents
- Maintain proper and accurate administrative records adhering to timelines
- Responsible for complying with all COVID-19 measures

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience leading and implementing programs for children that recognize their capabilities, diverse learning needs and natural curiosity
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Experience working within diverse communities including ethno-cultural, economic, and marginalized neighbourhoods are an asset
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to take initiative in a team setting
- Completion of Police Record Check (if over 18 years of age)
- Standard First Aid & CPR
- HighFive Certificate
- Valid Driver’s License or access to dependable transportation
