GHD is seeking an **Environment Market Leader **to provide vision and leadership across Canada. The **Environment Market Leader - Canada **is a national position responsible for driving the performance and growth of the environment market across Canada collaboratively with support from Partners across the Canada and the enterprise. The **Environment Market Leader **for Canada is a leadership position that will require strong collaboration and influence across the Americas Environment Market, including the Environment Market Leader for the United States and Regional Market Leaders across Canada, including the three regions in Canada (Eastern Canada, Ontario, and Western Canada). The Environment Market Leader will serve as a partner to the Canadian Leadership Team, working closely with the Regional Market Leaders, Business Group Leaders, Client Relationship Managers, Service Line Leaders, and other leaders within the business.

Primary responsibilities include the development of the strategic vision for the Environment Market across Canada; leading the development of the Canadian Environment market strategy and business plan to deliver profitable and sustainable growth of GHD’s private, public, and federal sector clients; leading the execution of the Canadian environment market strategy and plan, including development and adoption of best practices, systems, processes and tools necessary to continuously improve and transform GHD’s environment business; positioning GHD strategically in the market through differentiated value propositions, thought leadership, and brand elevation; leading the development of strategic offerings and proposals that support growth and diversification of the environment market; prioritizing clients and industry sectors that are aligned with GHD’s strategy, vision, and core values; collaborating with leaders across the environment market, technical services and operations to execute and deliver projects; and supporting the recruiting, retention, and development of talent across the environment market. There will also be opportunities to play the role of Project Director on large scale and exciting projects across the country.

**Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in**:

- Leading and supporting the environment business development conducted in Canada and more broadly across the Americas
- Play a significant role in developing GHD’s Canadian business, including across the three Regions of Eastern Canada, Ontario, and Western Canada, ensuring a focus on creating medium and long term opportunities to enable GHD’s strong growth aspirations
- Assess market trends and strategize (greater than twelve months forward) towards future projects, programs, and differentiated solutions.
- Drive and coordinate business development/marketing across Canada in consultation with Regional Management leadership and the Environment Market Leader for the United States.
- Promote relationships with existing and potential clients. Increase business by improving client relationships and strengthening repeat business. Expand client base by promoting GHD’s solutions proactively for the market in the Regions, Canada and across the Americas, consistent with GHD’s strategy and business plans
- Support effective delivery, including serving as a Project Director on appropriate projects/programs
- Serve as an executive sponsor, where appropriate, for prioritized clients and strategic programs
- Identify areas of practice, based on client feedback or market trends (service lines) that require enhancement to meet present or future market opportunities
- Liaison and business development assistance where required outside of North America
- Collaborate with other Market Sector Leaders, including counterparts in Energy & Resources, Property & Buildings, Transportation, and Water, to position and win multidisciplinary projects within the Region
