**Human Resources Advisor, Human Relations**:
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
The Regional District of Nanaimo is seeking a Permanent Full-Time Human Resources Advisor, Employee Relations.

Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, you will serve as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance, coaching, and advice to a defined client group within the Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN). You will utilize your expertise in employee relations to provide sound advice in areas such as interpretation of the collective agreement, employment law and related legislation and policy, effective employee and labour relations practices, and will lead or assist in workplace investigations.

As a key member of our HR team, you will collaborate across various functions where employee relations matters may intersect such as orientation, recruitment and selection, ability management, health and safety, compensation, classification, training and development, and policy development and implementation.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
Minimum of five (5) years’ related experience required, public sector experience preferred. Undergraduate degree in human resources preferred, certificate in human resources required. Chartered Professional of Human Resources (CPHR) preferred. Expert knowledge of employment and labour relations legislation and regulations. Demonstrated business acumen and results orientation in a human resources services context. Demonstrated ability to exercise influence and impact without formal authority in a multi-layered work environment.

**POSITION DETAILS**
This is a permanent full-time Exempt position offering 35 hours of work per week with a salary range of $96,594 to $107,326 as well as a competitive benefits package.
