- As the Workforce Planning Coordinator, you will support and collaborate with Water Services leadership regarding staffing decisions and staff movements; as a result, this position must maintain a working knowledge of collective agreements, Water Services specific policies, labour laws, procedures and processes. This position utilizes discretion in releasing confidential information, collaborates and advises management on decisions surrounding staffing and business plans. Primary duties include:

- Determine and schedule the placement of approximately 500+ full time and seasonal staff (Local 37 and 709) for the preparation and completion of the daily and weekly work assignments, training and vacation. Manage, reconcile and coordinate relief, positions and seniority, as well as supporting programs.
Collaborate with internal, external trainers and facilitators to coordinate learning and development training courses, including those required to comply with regulatory and legislative standards and specific needs of The City and Water Services.
Manage seniority, position and eligibility lists, confidential items and employee records according to the collective agreement business needs, practices and policies.
Coordinate appropriate work placement for employees returning from short and extended absences.
Coordinate seasonal recruitment and layoffs, by determining the number of new seasonal to be hired, organizing start dates and coordinate security checks for all new seasonal.
- **Qualifications**
***A completed 1 year certificate in office administration and at least 5 years of job-related experience.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access) and PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) is required.
Possess working knowledge of collective agreements, policies, labour laws, procedures and processes and Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) requirements.
Experience within a unionized environment and the ability to work with confidential and sensitive information is required.
Previous experience using Workforce Telestaff and/ or UKG Dimensions would be considered an asset.
Excellent interpersonal skills along with strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills are required for success in this role.
