LOCATION : MONTRAL AIRPORT AND MONTREAL CITY
SALARY: BETWEEN CAD 60,000 AND 80,000
The Truck Shop Supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the truck maintenance and Heavy equipment repair shop. This includes overseeing the mechanical staff, ensuring that all repairs and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently, and maintaining high safety and quality standards. The Supervisor ensures the shop operates smoothly, cost-effectively, and within industry regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage the workflow of mechanics and technicians in performing routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on trucks and heavy-duty vehicles
2. Lead, train, and evaluate the performance of shop staff, ensuring all employees are working to their full potential and adhering to safety protocols.
3. Create work schedules, prioritize repair orders, and ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks to minimize vehicle downtime
4. Monitor inventory levels of parts, tools, and supplies, ordering stock as necessary to ensure the shop is fully equipped to handle repairs.
5. Manage shop budgets, approve repair costs, and ensure that all work is performed cost-effectively while maintaining quality standards.
6. Ensure that all shop tools, equipment, and machinery are properly maintained and calibrated, and that staff are trained to use them safely.
7. Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and staff performance to ensure accountability and efficiency.
EXPERIENCE
1. Minimum of 3-5 years in truck maintenance or a similar role in a heavy-duty vehicle shop, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
2. In-depth knowledge of truck and heavy-duty vehicle systems, including engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with staff, customers, and suppliers.
4. Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks, projects, and priorities effectively.
5. Comprehensive understanding of workplace safety regulations and practices, with a focus on accident prevention and compliance with safety standards.

**DESCRIPTION DU POSTE**
Le Superviseur d'Atelier de Camions est responsable de la gestion des opérations quotidiennes de l’atelier de maintenance des camions et de réparation des équipements lourds. Cela comprend la supervision du personnel mécanique, la garantie que toutes les tâches de réparation et d'entretien sont effectuées efficacement, ainsi que le maintien de normes élevées de sécurité et de qualité. Le superviseur veille à ce que l'atelier fonctionne de manière fluide, économique et conforme aux réglementations de l'industrie.
**RESPONSABILITÉS**
1. Gérer le flux de travail des mécaniciens et techniciens pour réaliser l'entretien courant, les diagnostics et les réparations des camions et véhicules lourds.
2. Encadrer, former et évaluer la performance du personnel de l'atelier, en s'assurant que tous les employés travaillent à leur plein potentiel et respectent les protocoles de sécurité.
3. Créer des plannings de travail, prioriser les ordres de réparation et veiller à la réalisation des tâches d’entretien dans les délais pour minimiser les temps d’arrêt des véhicules.
4. Surveiller les niveaux d'inventaire des pièces, outils et fournitures, et commander du stock si nécessaire pour que l'atelier soit toujours équipé pour gérer les réparations.
5. Gérer les budgets de l’atelier, approuver les coûts de réparation et s'assurer que tout travail est effectué de manière rentable tout en maintenant les standards de qualité.
6. Veiller à ce que tous les outils, équipements et machines de l'atelier soient correctement entretenus et calibrés, et que le personnel soit formé pour les utiliser en toute sécurité.
7. Maintenir des registres précis des réparations, des plannings de maintenance et des performances du personnel afin d'assurer la responsabilité et l'efficacité.
**EXPÉRIENCE**
1. Minimum de 3 à 5 ans d'expérience en maintenance de camions ou dans un rôle similaire dans un atelier de véhicules lourds, dont au moins 2 ans à un poste de supervision.
2. Connaissance approfondie des systèmes de camions et de véhicules lourds, y compris des moteurs, des systèmes hydrauliques et électriques.
3. Excellentes compétences en communication verbale et écrite pour interagir avec le personnel, les clients et les fournisseurs.
