The Canadian Institute for Public Safety Research & Treatment (CIPSRT) at the University of Regina serves as the Knowledge Exchange Hub for knowledge synthesis, translation and exchange that relies upon the best contemporary research evidence supporting an overall mission to help current and former public safety personnel, their leaders, and their families to maintain and improve their mental health and well-being. We are looking for an experienced project manager to support CIPSRT-funded projects (both IT and non-technical). The primary function of the project manager is to develop and implement project plans in collaboration with CIPSRT leadership and the project team.

Position Requirements
**What You’ll Bring to this Position**:
- A relevant undergraduate degree, preferably in business administration or computer science;
- At least 5 years of project management experience in leading complex IT and/or non-technical projects - an asset would be experience gained in a non-profit, unionized and/or research environment.
- Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification or training in pursuit of PMP certification or equivalent is an asset.
- Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
**Skills That Will Ensure Your Success in the Role**:
- Directing and managing project execution while meeting project delivery requirements for scope, schedule and budget.
- Developing effective working relationships with stakeholders, and managing expectations.
- Communicating effectively in both technical and non-technical (user friendly) language when appropriate.
- Working with data, including best practices for data governance, protection, privacy and security.
- Managing project teams through coordinating activities, delegating, coaching, motivating, supervising, team building, and managing conflict.
- General understanding of IT systems, platforms, operational systems and database programs.
- Performing actual cost vs. budget variance and budget forecasting.
- Leading a project advisory committee, as well as stakeholder and debrief meetings.
- Reporting status, progress and issues for individual projects, including schedule variance.
- Managing risk to a project’s success by leading the project team through the project risk management process.
- Developing and maintaining supply arrangements for the purchase and delivery of required materials and service, including an effective procurement process.
- Closing projects or project phases by obtaining formal acceptance, bringing it to an orderly end and documenting lessons learned for future projects in an advisory capacity to leadership.
- Software: including MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word); MS Project, Sharepoint, Outlook, Teams.

- Knowledge of applicable University of Regina and Canadian federal government research regulations.
- Knowledge of collective bargaining agreements at the University of Regina (APT and CUPE).
- Competency in using University of Regina’s campus-wide technology and software including Banner, Caspur, FAST, and Cascade.
