**ONE (1) PERMANENT FULL TIME PROGRAM ASSISTANT**
**RISK, PRIVACY, EMERGENCY RESPONSE**

**NBRHC - NORTH BAY
Reporting to the Manager Risk, Privacy and Emergency Response, the Program Assistant provide clerical and
administrative support functions, to support the effective day-today operations of Risk, Privacy, and Emergency
Response as well as serving as a backup for the Policy and Forms Assistant.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Coordinating, preparing materials, and taking minutes for internal/external meetings as required

Conducting research and gathering data to support program initiatives

Providing clerical support for relevant committees

Preparing, revising, and publishing departmental policies, developing/updating departmental
forms/documents, completing month end reports and statistics, monthly quality improvement reports,
completing payroll, setting meeting agendas, meeting room bookings, completing meeting minutes,

Post-secondary education in office administration or equivalent required 
Minimum of five years’ experience required in a clerical setting 
Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate required (training delivered by Health Centre

upon hire) 

Minute taking experience 
Knowledge of health care (specifically human resources) is an asset 
Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills 
Above average working knowledge with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Zoom 
Excellent priority setting and time management skills 
Strong judgement and problem solving/decision making skills 
Must support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in our

organization 

Ability to perform with mínimal supervision 
Ability to multitask when dealing with workload and people 
Demonstrated commitment to ensure your safety, the safety of fellow workers, patients, volunteers, and

visitors. 

Must be able to support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in
our organization 

Bilingualism (Advanced Level English/French) is an asset.

Criminal Reference Check including the Vulnerable Sector Check recent within six (6) months is a requirement

North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC) is a unique health care organization with three primary roles:
providing acute care services to North Bay and its surrounding communities, functioning as the district referral

centre providing specialist services for smaller communities in the area, and it’s the specialized mental health

service provider serving all of northeast Ontario. At more than 400 beds, our state-of-the-art regional health

centre has over 150 physicians, 2300 employees and 250 volunteers.
