Reporting to the Clinical Services Manager, the Program Assistant will be responsible
for providing a wide range of confidential clerical support services to clinical Program
Managers in Medicine, Surgery, and Women and Children’s Care Centres. Primary
responsibilities will include reporting Ministry statistics, organizing/coordinating
meetings, agenda preparation, taking committee minutes, document preparation,
organizing special projects and events, general office maintenance, other clerical duties
as assigned, and working in collaboration with other staff throughout the Hospital.

manner. The applicant must have excellent time management skills, the ability to be
versatile, adjust quickly in a fast-paced environment to multiple work patterns as she/he
provides support to various program managers in the Hospital. Post Secondary
education in Medical Office Administration with a minimum of two years related
experience is required for this position. High level of computer proficiency (Microsoft
Word, Power Point, Excel) and a typing speed of 50 wpm are also required.
Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.

Criminal Reference Check including the Vulnerable Sector Check recent within six (6) months is a
requirement

North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC) is a unique health care organization with three primary roles:
providing acute care services to North Bay and its surrounding communities, functioning as the district

referral centre providing specialist services for smaller communities in the area, and it’s the specialized

mental health service provider serving all of northeast Ontario. At more than 400 beds, our state-of-the-art

regional health centre has over 150 physicians, 2300 employees and 250 volunteers.
