We currently have an exciting opportunity for a** Full-Time Volunteer Services Assistant **to join our Volunteer Services Department team.

**Location**: Humber River Hospital - Wilson Site

**Hours of work**: Monday - Friday, Days

**Employee Group**: Non-Union

**Responsibilities**:

- Acting as liaison with the public, volunteers and staff to provide general information on the volunteer program.
- Coordinate volunteer recruitment interviews and related materials
- Conduct volunteer reference checks
- Track volunteer attendance
- Prepare and coordinate logistics and materials for volunteer orientation, program meetings and events
- Maintain volunteer database (VsysOne) and prepare monthly reports and statistics.
- Assisting with special projects as required.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum three years of administrative/secretarial experience required.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong computer skills - proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Experience in a volunteer environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Superior organizational skills with ability to prioritize and work independently.
- Proven decision making and problem solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential issues/information in a professional manner.
