This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) to select a contractor to _**design and facilitate a Youth Leadership Program**_ for the ACCN’s Nurturing Promise, Harvesting Potential (NPHP-Program).
- **Who are we**:_

The African Canadian Christian Network (ACCN) Nurturing Promise, Harvesting Potential (NPHP-Program) is an evidence-based intervention program for 400 African Canadian students ages 14-19 years old. The project works to support these youth who face multiple risk factors with positive life alternatives to achieve academic success.

NPHP adopts an African-centered approach to engage and support African Canadian youth and is designed to increase their academic achievement, positively influence attitudes toward school, reduce truancy, create opportunities for entrance into post
- secondary education, increase prospects for employment, and teach financial literacy.
- **About this Opportunity**:_

Young people succeed when provided with the opportunity to develop key life skills. NPHP is seeking to partner with a Contractor who has skills and experience in developing and facilitating Leadership and Advocacy programming for African Canadian youth 14 to 19 years old.

The program should incorporate and anti-Black racism lens and should seek to build positive identity, advocacy & communication skills, leadership, and self-confidence among participants. The focus populations for the programs are children and young people in and out of middle school and high school.

**Activity 1**:

- Design training workshop on youth leadership

- 6-8 session Training Curriculum Developed for both online and in-person
- Additional Resource Materials Created

**Format for Submission**:
In the submission of the proposals, **no more than five pages** must be provided which describes the contractor plan to meet the ACCN requirements clearly and concisely.

The proposals should include the following:
1. One-page Executive Summary - include proof/theory of efficacy?
2. Experience and Background of Contractor
3. Design/plan for executing the Youth Leadership Training which will include the proposed approach, timeline, and critical milestones.
4. Three references
5. A budget must be attached to the proposal.

**Funding Available**: The maximum award amount for this project is $20,000.00

**Contractor Qualifications**
- Experience in developing youth training programs
- Experience in working with children and youth between the ages of 14 - 19 years old
- Experience in facilitating programs for children and youth between the ages of 14 - 19 years old
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with multiple disciplines
- Ability to foster and maintain excellent working relationships with community partners.
- Excellent interpersonal, time management and oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of the barriers and challenges faced by youth and families in culturally diverse, newcomer, and/or low-income communities is a definite asset.
