This role resides within the Venture Services group at MaRS. Venture Services works with over 1400 innovation-driven science and technology startups. Venture Services helps entrepreneurs commercialize innovations with high business growth potential in Canada and globally by facilitating access to the customer, talent, funding, marketing and stakeholder connections required to successfully scale their business.
**About the role**
As a member of the MaRS' Climate Programs team, the Associate will play a key role in the planning and execution of climate projects and initiatives in order to achieve the organization and team's objectives. The senior associate will lead and be responsible for activities that provide value and positive impact to MaRS stakeholders including both the venture and partner communities, as well as the broader ecosystem.
**Key **Responsibilities**
- Assist the team with community engagement, including engagement with ventures, partners, municipalities, and other key stakeholders in the climate ecosystem.
- Lead marketing and communication activities with guidance from leaders.
- Project management on key initiatives to ensure projects and activities are delivered on time and on budget.
- Support donor / funder activities such as account management, providing updates, partner deliveries, and funder reporting.
- Manage and improve program data and processes.
- Manage inbound inquiries to the program(s).

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor degree
- Studies related to climate, sustainability, and environmental issues an asset
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Experience working in a start-up an asset
- Experience using G-Suite and MS Office
- Highly proficient organization and communication skills
- Superior interpersonal skills, and experience in a client-facing role an asset

**Salary Range**:$49,800 - $62,000, up to 10% discretionary incentive, benefits and paid time-off.
