York Hills is currently seeking an **Overnight Awake Live-in Treatment Child and Youth Workr** to join the team at our Aurora location.

Reporting directly to the Program Coordinator, this role is an integral part of the Live-in Treatment Program. The Child and Youth Care Worker in this role is able to create a responsive, empathetic, and nurturing therapeutic environment that addresses the social and emotional needs of latency-aged _(7-12)_ children. As a member of the Multi-disciplinary team, the Overnight awake Child and Youth Care Worker both contributes to, and executes, strategies and approaches determined by the treatment plan. The primary activities of this role are to provide direct care to children during the overnight hours utilizing these strategies and approaches, and to contribute to ongoing assessment and evaluation with the MDA team.

The Live-in Treatment Overnight Awake Child and Youth Care Worker in the Live-in Treatment Program works a 40-hour work week. The schedule for this position is as follows:
Sunday 11p.m. to 7a.m.

Monday 11p.m. to 7a.m.

Thursday 11p.m. to 7a.m.

Friday 11p.m. to 7a.m.

Saturday 11p.m. to 7a.m.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Child and Youth Care Worker skilled at working with children who experience emotional and behavioural challenges, in a dynamic and intensive milieu setting.

**Other Responsibilities**
- Ensure the physical, emotional safety of clients on the overnight shift. Includes completing nightly safety checks, and supervision of clients by completing checks on regular intervals.
- Knowledge of Clients’ Treatment plans and Safety Plans.
- Complete safety and tasks checklists that include meal planning and preparation, food ordering, laundry, deep cleaning.
- Medication administration, Daily Reporting, Reporting Serious Occurrences.
- Regular communication with team by participating in shift changes, Program Team Meetings.
- Participate in Individual and group supervision with Program Coordinator and/or Program Manager
- Co-development, implementation and tracking of treatment interventions. This includes reporting outcomes of interventions.

**Position Qualifications**:

- Child and Youth Care Worker Diploma/Degree or a Diploma/Degree in a related field, with an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Drivers’ License and use of a vehicle.
- Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- Ability to speak French or another language is desirable.
- Demonstrate intentionality and action in their anti-racist practice.
- Demonstrate an understanding, value and practice of inclusivity with diverse people.
- Demonstrate initiative, integrity & honesty.
- Commit to upholding the organization’s mission, values and standards.
- Possess the ability to be an active and collaborative member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Have experience in utilizing a variety of interventions, skilled in milieu counselling, assessment and group work.

- Demonstrate observation and assessment, and co-regulation skills.
