Finance Assistant + Bookkeeper

**Duties**:

- Assist with accounts payable and receivable tasks
- Maintain accurate records and communication with suppliers, vendors and staff
- Reconcile bank statements and perform account analysis
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Utilize accounting software (Stone Profits System) to record financial transactions
- Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting
- Monthly tax remittances and HET reporting
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information
- Assist staff with invoicing, credits, POS, etc. related tasks

**Skills**:

- Proficient in accounting principles and practices
- Experience with accounts payable and receivable processes
- Familiarity with accounting software (eg. Quickbooks, SPS)
- Ability to perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create, organize, interpret, analyze and read financial data and legal documents
- Ability to perform time management skills (schedules, timelines, task prioritization).
- Highly proficient PC skills including a proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills

We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Assistant + Bookkeeper to join our team. Reporting to the CEO, Vice President, Finance Manager and GM at Western Marble & Tile Ltd. the Finance assistant/bookkeeper will assist in the areas of Accounting related duties. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about accounting and wants to gain hands-on experience.

**Salary**: $32,163.21-$45,100.00 per year
