**DUTIES**
- Receives Permits from Applicants for review by the Permit Coordinator, and issues completed permits to clients once approved for release.
- Provides quality management of paper and electronic files such as scanning and embedding documentation in accordance with the Records Retention By-law of inspections, plans, etc.
- Collects information required by the inspectors for them to conduct inspections - ensures that files are retrieved and ready for the daily inspections.
- Responds to general building permit inquiries and provides general advice related to by-laws and applicable legislation and policies.
- Provides backup to the Administrative Assistant/Planning as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Secondary School graduate
- 2 years related experienced municipal experience
- Interpersonal skills and communication skills to deal with staff, the public, and outside agencies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
- The ability to work independently with assigned work.
- Ability to keep accurate and precise records

**Salary**: $24.44 per hour
