**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Serve as a union member of a joint union/management committee of service expansion, innovation and training;
- Assist in the design, development, costing, management and evaluation of projects that create new opportunities for postal workers;
- Research global and local market trends in the parcel, postal, e-commerce and broader logistics and delivery industries, including financial services and environmental issues related to these industries. An ability to critically analyze, from a progressive perspective, the above;
- Prepare union proposals for innovation and analyze employer's business cases, cash flow and contract information;
- Facilitate meetings, focus groups and orientation sessions.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Post-secondary education or extensive related work and training experience in economics, political science, social innovation, business administration, or related fields;
- Experience in project management;
- Proven research and writing skills;
- Ability to multi-task, set priorities and communicate with all levels of the union and with management;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software: Excel, PowerPoint and Word essential;
- Ability to work well on own and with others;
- A demonstrated commitment to the values of the labour movement through experience in the labour and/or wider social justice movements.

**ASSETS**
- Ability to speak and write in both official languages;
- Experience with committee, board or similar type of work with unions, non-profit or community groups;
- Experience in navigating complex labour/management relationships;
- Any demonstrated background knowledge in the fields of: e-commerce, urban congestion, financial services, regulated markets, or change in networked industries would be considered a plus.

- Représenter la partie syndicale au sein d’un comité syndical-patronal qui s’occupe de l’expansion des services, de l’innovation et de la formation;
- Aider à la conception, à la mise sur pied, à l’établissement des coûts, à la gestion et à l’évaluation de projets qui créent de nouveaux débouchés pour les travailleurs et travailleuses des postes;
- Faire des recherches sur les tendances qui se dégagent à l’échelle internationale et nationale dans les secteurs des colis, de la poste, du commerce électronique, de la logistique et de la livraison, y compris les services financiers et les questions environnementales liées à ces secteurs. Aptitude à analyser ces questions d’un œil critique et dans une perspective progressiste;
- Préparer des propositions syndicales en matière d’innovation et analyser des dossiers d’affaires, des flux d’encaisse et des dispositions contractuelles;
- Animer des réunions, des groupes de discussion et des séances d’orientation.

**EXIGENCES**
- Études postsecondaires ou vaste expérience de travail et de formation professionnelle en économie, en science politique, en innovation sociale, en administration des affaires ou dans des domaines connexes;
- Expérience en gestion de projets;
- Aptitudes reconnues en recherche et en rédaction;
- Aptitude à mener de front plusieurs dossiers, à établir des priorités et à communiquer avec tous les paliers du syndicat et de la direction;
- Maîtrise des logiciels de Microsoft Office : Excel, PowerPoint et Word (essentielle);
- Aptitude à travailler seul ou en équipe;
- Engagement manifeste envers les valeurs du mouvement syndical sous forme d’expérience au sein du mouvement syndical ou du mouvement pour la justice sociale.

**ATOUTS**
- S’exprimer en français et en anglais, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit;
- Avoir déjà travaillé au sein de comités ou de conseils ou avoir effectué du travail semblable auprès de syndicats, d’organismes à but non lucratif ou de groupes communautaires;
- Avoir de l’expérience dans la gestion des relations syndicales-patronales complexes;
- Posséder des connaissances générales dans les domaines du commerce électronique, de la congestion urbaine, des services financiers, des marchés réglementés ou des changements dans les secteurs à réseaux.
