Job Overview:
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- **Plan the project**_
- Prepare estimates for Winnipeg Environmental Remediations Inc.
- Define the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management
- Create a detailed safe work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
- Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc) required to complete the project
- Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities
- Review the project schedule with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required
- Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion
- **Staff the project**_
- In consultation with the appropriate manager, recruit, interview and select staff and/or volunteers with appropriate skills for the project activities
- Ensure new staff/subtrade orientations s are properly orientated
- Provide training to new or inexperienced workers as required to promote safe work practices.
- Manage project staff and/or volunteers according to the established policies and practices of the organization
- Ensure that all project personnel receive an appropriate orientation to the organization and the project
- **Implement the project**_
- Ensure the required client submissions are in place. ie: Bonds, line locates, freighting permits, etc.
- Dispatch employees and equipment to the site
- Execute the project according to the project plan
- Maintain time schedules
- Be responsible for the safety of the teams
- Assist with inspections or assign others to complete to obtain different perspectives of site conditions
- Ensure workplaces are maintained in a safe and tidy condition.
- Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured
- Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project
- Establish a communication schedule to update owners on the progress of the project
- Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards,
- Ensure Tool Box talks are conducted on new work sites and address job hazards.
- Write reports on the project for management

**Qualifications**:

- Surveying experience with Trimble is highly desirable
- Use of AutoCAD
- Proficiency in construction management software
- Strong time management skills to meet project deadlines effectively
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
- Experience in construction estimating and project management
- Knowledge of construction industry standards and practices

There is a significant amount of travel required in Manitoba

Wage to be negotiated based on Industry Standards and experience

Students are accepted and full time work is available

Immediate start date
