**POSITION OVERVIEW**

Reporting to the Associate Director, you will be part of a collaborative HR & Admin team who partners with department groups to support our managers and employees. You will work with HR team members and will lead the Admin team in ensuring the department runs efficiently.

**1. Key Responsibilities**
- Administration_
- Review, develop and implement policies and procedures
- Manage facility to ensure the maintenance of building structure and grounds, liaise with landlord and coordinate with external contractors for all facility and building equipment related repairs and services
- Oversee building security system, employee and visitor access control
- Lead projects such as renovations and office improvements, procurement of furniture or office equipment
- Manage vendors and service providers contracts (which includes leading maintenance service contract and purchase requisitions renewal process, insurance contracts, and periodical vendor evaluation)
- Ensure the provision of efficient and effective office support services and maintain an organized and environmentally friendly office (e.g. recycling, energy efficiency and water conservation, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Ensure smooth quality management systems operation by planning and coordinating activities, processes and workflows including maintaining an organised and up-to-date filing system
- Lead, coach and support HR/Admin team members with their career growth and development
- Prepare and manage department budget
- Perform other duties as necessary

- Advice, support and coach managers and employees in all HR areas including talent acquisition, performance management, training & development, policy and procedure, employee relations, total rewards
- Build a trusting and collaborative relationship with client groups by having strong business acumen and deep insight into the groups’ operation and business
- Stay up-to-date with current people trends and best practices
- Lead, participate and collaborate with peers on HR/Admin projects/activities
- Prepare and/or review HR/Admin documents and reports
- Identify, manage and work with management on a range of matters from workforce planning, hiring decisions, to complex employee relations issues. Conduct and/or participate in timely investigations
- Draft and create internal company wide or HR related communications contents
- Conduct orientation and internal training programs as required
- Perform other duties as necessary

**2. Knowledge, Skills and Experience**
- Minimum 8 years experience in an HR & Admin role with at least 2 years experience managing a team
- Degree in Human Resources Management or relevant field; or post secondary diploma in a relevant field and a combination of relevant experience
- Solid understanding of manufacturing / operation and office management
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite and good knowledge of ADP
- Experience in HR, contract administration, contract handling and negotiation
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Strong attention to details, strong time management and project management skills
- Proactive, flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, but still able to maintain focus on overall objectives
- Demonstrated tact, good judgment, and discretion; maintain confidentiality of files, personal information, and other matters, as appropriate
- Possession of CPHR Designation or working towards completion
