Our Sales and Marketing Team works to drive awareness and ultimately visits to the Sea to Sky Gondola.

The Sales Manger is primarily responsible for developing and managing the execution of the Sea to Sky Gondola sales strategies including Tour & Travel, Education, Groups, Film and direct to consumer segments, as established in conjunction with the Sales and Marketing Plan. You will be responsible for leading the sales team, strategies, and all sales contracts. This position is also responsible for achieving and surpassing business development targets while maximizing operational efficiencies, customer service, and profitability.

We offer a flexible work environment and are open to having the position be a hybrid work-from-home and on-site model.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Acts as a key point of contact for the Sea to Sky Gondola in building relationships that cultivate business, exposure and partnership opportunities
- Collaborates closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing and the entire management team to create and implement a sales plan with measurable objectives that support the company’s overall strategy to increase revenues
- Provides leadership to the organization as it pertains to market trends, competitive set, revenue growth and budget requirements
- Provides training, mentoring and leadership to the Sales Supervisor and Group Coordinators
- Has current relationships in the tourism industry and is knowledgeable on industry & consumer trends
- Directs and oversees the organization and execution of sales campaigns, relative to the identified market segments
- Proven market knowledge of tour & travel trends, competition and evolving technologies
- Oversees and develops all tour operator, reseller and groups sales activities and targets
- Responsible for film location pricing and strategies
- Responsible for selling weddings and corporate events while liaising closely with the catering department for execution of the events
- Recommends and participates in trade shows which may require travel - locally, domestically and internationally
- Recommends and attends industry and professional events or conferences to maintain industry and professional knowledge and network with industry peers
- Collaborates with other internal departments to identify and analyze business requirements and the implications for the related functional area and organization; identifies gaps and implements agreed upon solutions or improvements
- Prospects and develops new business opportunities
- Monitoring of our industry competitive set and implement sales tactics to increase market share
- Be self-motivated and employ an aggressive sales approach.
- Considers and maintains the products and services delivered relative to the Sea to Sky Gondola brand, including maintaining accurate and organized files and records and completing documentation related to the sales and guest services functions.

**Qualifications & Skill Requirements**:

- Minimum 6 years of sales management experience in the tourism industry, with a minimum of 4 years leading a team
- Proven managerial skills with the ability to meet sales/performance targets in a sales role
- Self-motivated team player with excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills to support the building of strong relationships with diverse groups of people
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking, multi-functional team environment required while maintaining a high attention to detail
- Proven experience in managing change, driving innovation and growing business
- Not content with the status quo; you are driven to create positive change and growth
- Exemplifies our core values and enjoys working in a culture of accountability
- Proven relationships within the tour and travel segment
- Successful completion of post-secondary education
- Advanced level in the use of Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365
- Experience with POS systems and Triple Seat an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
