The Training Specialist is responsible for a variety of duties from coordination of training sessions and administering our LMS, to training corporate programs. You will also support the Training Manager by facilitating on-site training and online webinars across Metro divisions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of instructional material for the delivery of blended learning solutions, including instructor-led sessions, e-learning programs, and self-study materials to maximize the learner’s experience
- Design e-learning modules, micro-learning and training videos
- Execute training sessions, webinars, workshops etc. in groups of varying sizes
- Maintains professional knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications
- Work on-site and remotely for training programs
- Responsible for the management and maintenance of the learning management system (LMS) and assist with troubleshooting LMS system, integrations between LMS and other systems
- Manage the logístical requirements for training sessions ensuring seamless delivery including: Send/manage meeting invitations for participants and presenters, book meeting rooms, organize catering if applicable, assign and collect participant course work
- Manage databases of participants and evaluations
- Manages Learning and Development training calendar

**Experience**:

- At least 4-5 years experience as a trainer preferably with a focus on leadership and personal development
- An understanding of adult learning principles and methodologies
- Adult Education Certificate or Adult Education Degree
- Knowledge of psychometric testing such as DiSC a strong asset
- Experience with e-learning and video programs such as Articulate Storyline, Vyond
- Demonstrated ability to design highly creative, quality and innovative learning solutions that educate and entertain
- Excellent written/verbal/electronic communication skills
- Ability to travel (Outside of Canada)
- Bilingual (English / French) an asset
- CTP/CTDP an asset

**Competencies**:

- Proven experience as a trainer
- Knowledge of modern training techniques and tools
- Strong attention to detail and prioritization skills
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint, Teams, Word etc.)
- Ability to effectively communicate with, work with and liaise between customers, team members (users, management, IT), internal team members and other contractors
- A results-oriented focus, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced changing environment and effectively manage several projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Solid written and proofreading abilities with accuracy and attention to detail
