Squamish Nation consists of 23 villages and is comprised of descendants of the Coast Salish Aboriginal people who live in the present-day Greater Vancouver area, Gibson’s Landing, and Squamish River watershed. The Squamish Nation has occupied and governed the territory since beyond recorded history. The Squamish Nation's culture is rich and resilient. As an organization, we provide support to the greater Squamish Nation Community through service. With 12 departments with individual areas of expertise, we ensure Community Members have access to necessary programs and services.
**About The Opportunity**:
Working as an integral part of the Ta7lnew̓ás Education, Employment and Training Department, this position reports directly to the Team Leader, Stitsma Career Centre (SCC), this position understands program budgets, ensures all program costs are coded correctly, ensures budgets are balanced, ensures funding requirements are met, completes monthly activity reports to standards and works with management to create the yearly program schedule. This position tracks program data/statistics, numbers on spreadsheets, program-specific cash flow sheets, etc. on an ongoing basis to measure the success of the programs, students, budget spending, etc. The Program Outreach Officer will ensure that the Team Leader and Manager are well-informed on the progress of all SCC programs and are kept up to date with pertinent information. This position acts as a mentor to the Program Officer(s) and Program Coordinator(s) of the Stitsma Career Centre. The incumbent has excellent time management, organizational, coordination, and presentation skills. This position also requires excellent interpersonal and written communication skills and exceptional customer service. The incumbent operates at a high level of interaction with students/co-workers/stakeholders/management, responding with courtesy, tact, and diplomacy. Uses sound judgment to make decisions and works well independently requiring mínimal supervision.

***Salary**: $ 64,836 - $ 72,528 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits program
