As Business Controller you will be reporting to our EVP and be responsible to oversee the full financial operations of North America. As a part of the Canadian leadership team, you will work closely with the EVP, Area Managers, HR + Marketing Manager, and Production Manager. Other business relationships include international Business Controller team with financial expertise within in the Lumon Groups around the world. The infinite goal is to grow the business **profitably and sustainably.**

**Responsibilities**
- Oversee the full financial operations of North America and work as respected business partner challenging the local leadership team. Having a genuine interest in understanding and developing business cause-and-effect relationships.
- Responsible for implementing the planning and budgeting process for Lumon North Canada in line with Lumon Group guidelines. Responsible for the business analysis and reporting process including monthly result and KPIs.
- Work as a supervisor for local accounting team consisting of bookkeeping, accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll. Responsible for finance team development, training and maintaining of company culture.
- Responsible for developing the financial processes in co-operation with Lumon Group finance team and implementing new ways of working through increased level of automatization. For example, we target to implement an accounts payable system and group consolidation and planning system during 2023.
- Enforce internal controls across the organization and develop best practices for auditing, accounting, reporting, and taxation.
- Serve as the first point of contact for external parties (audit, legal, banks, insurance).

**Requirements**:

- Diploma level or higher of education
- Bachelor’s degree in financial administration, CPA or management
- Management and/or leadership experience at least 2-3 years
- Knowledge and understanding of fields of accounting, from monthly bookkeeping to financial statements, payroll and taxation
- Experience from finance development projects and improving control environment
- Result driven: strong business understanding on financials including budgeting and forecasting to reach the set goals
- Enthusiasm for numbers and business analysis
- Ability to work under high-pressure, excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent people skills: coaching, fostering teamwork & giving feedback. Challenging business with a positive touch
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills; experienced in presenting and preparing structured presentations
- Ability to work independently and to commute to our Vaughan office
- Good computer skills in Microsoft Office. Experience from D365 and Salesforce are an asset
- Lumon product knowledge an asset
