Steel Building Sales Manager

**Job Overview**
**Responsibilities of the Steel Building Sales Manager**:
- **Sales Leadership & Team Management**: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales associates to achieve individual and team sales targets while fostering a collaborative and high-performance sales culture.
- **Steel Building Sales**: Directly sell steel building solutions to clients across a variety of industries, identifying customer needs, presenting product solutions, and negotiating contracts.
- **Sales Strategy Development**: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to expand market share, drive revenue, and meet company sales goals.
- **CRM System Utilization**: Utilize the company’s CRM system to track sales leads, manage customer relationships, maintain accurate sales records, and report on team performance and progress towards targets.
- **Business Development**: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events, while maintaining and nurturing relationships with existing clients.
- **Client Consultation & Relationship Building**: Work closely with customers to understand their needs and provide expert advice on the best steel building solutions, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- **Market Analysis**: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to adjust sales tactics and identify new opportunities for growth.
- **Team Training & Development**: Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and performance coaching to sales associates, ensuring they are equipped with the tools and knowledge to succeed.
- **Sales Reporting & Forecasting**: Prepare regular reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and market conditions, providing insights to senior leadership for informed decision-making.
- **Office & Field Work**: Work in the office full-time, handling sales operations, client calls, and team meetings, while also being available for weekend and evening work as needed to meet customer demands or close sales.
- **Customer Service & Problem Resolution**: Address customer concerns or issues promptly, ensuring a high level of service and client satisfaction throughout the sales process.
- **Collaboration with Other Departments**: Work closely with marketing, operations, and design teams to ensure smooth project execution and to address any customer-specific requirements or challenges.
**Qualifications for the Steel Building Sales Manager**:
- **Experience**: 5 to 10 years of sales experience in the steel building or construction industry, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- **Leadership Skills**: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage a sales team, fostering a high-performance culture and driving team success.
- **Product Knowledge**: In-depth understanding of steel building products, construction methods, and industry regulations, with the ability to consult clients on the best solutions for their needs.
- **Sales Strategy & Business Development**: Experience in developing and executing sales strategies, generating new business opportunities, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- **CRM Proficiency**: Strong experience using CRM software to track sales activities, manage customer relationships, and generate sales reports.
- **Negotiation & Closing Skills**: Excellent negotiation and closing skills with the ability to handle high-value contracts and complex customer requirements.
- **Communication Skills**: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to customers, vendors, and internal teams.
- **Problem-Solving**: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address customer issues and provide timely solutions.
- **Organizational Skills**: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple sales leads, team responsibilities, and customer accounts simultaneously.
- **Availability & Flexibility**: Willingness to work full-time in the office, with the flexibility to work evenings and weekends when necessary to meet customer demands or close sales.
- **Industry Networking**: Strong connections within the steel building or construction industry and a proven ability to network and build relationships with potential clients and partners.
