**Your Opportunity**:
The Administrative Support provides administrative services and support to the office of the Director, North Zone Infection Prevention and Control. Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) is a province-wide program with staff members embedded in zone-based sites and programs. This position works closely with the Director, Senior Consultant and NZ IPC team. In doing so provides comprehensive administrative support services that contribute to the efficient and professional operation of the NZ IPC program. Key responsibilities include: Managing the Director's calendar, prioritizing appointments and proactively resolving conflicts, compiling the necessary background and materials for meetings, and creating and maintaining effective workflow processes within the office which includes working on short
- and long-term assignments on a variety of issues and initiatives relevant to IPC. Providing secretarial support to IPC program committees, working with the Director and committee chairs and co-chairs to coordinate meeting arrangements, prepare agenda packages, draft meeting minutes, and complete follow-up actions. Monitoring, tracking and negotiating timelines on action requests arising from the office or received by the office of the Director. The position works with a high degree of independence and has administrative, information, system issue management, and project management responsibilities. These include working on short
- and long-term assignments on a variety of issues and initiatives relevant to IPC. Shift Pattern: Mon-Fri: 08:00 - 16:15.

**Required Qualifications**:
Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
A minimum of 3-5 years of related experience in a comparable work environment with similar scope, independence, and responsibility is required. Intermediate/Advanced Outlook skills, Beginner/Intermediate MS Excel skills, Intermediate/Advanced MS Word skills, Beginner/Intermediate Visio skills. Must be able to problem solve, organize and prioritize tasks, manage competing priorities, work independently with mínimal direction and work under tight timeline pressure while dealing with numerous interruptions.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Successful completion of a two-year diploma in a related field. Experience in a healthcare or education setting is an asset. Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
