Faculty Administrative Coordinator

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Reporting directly to the Dean, the Faculty Administrative Coordinator initiates and manages the administrative processes for academic faculty positions for the Faculty of Arts and Social
**Qualifications**:
**The incumbent must possess the following qualifications**:
- Knowledge of administration policies, procedures, and processes and customer/client services
- Knowledge of relevant collective agreements and related policies, procedures, and processes
- Ability to use independent judgement and to manage and impart confidential information
- Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports
- Ability to write/amend documents that accurately capture issue(s)
- Knowledge of office as well as the broader university academic units, departments, and divisions
- Knowledge of office productivity software and databases, internet browsers and search engines, discipline-specific software, enterprise software, and technology devices
- Knowledge of cultural competency and diversity in a business context
- Knowledge of supervisory practices
- Knowledge of current and emerging legislation, issues and trends as appropriate to the position
**Education and Experience**:
**The above is normally acquired through the completion of**:
- Completion of bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- Minimum of four years of previous academic human resource administration and service experience preferably in a University setting
