**Position Overview**

The Supervisor, Depot Operations (SDO) has the primary responsibility of ensuring that the depot functions at peak efficiency and that the customer experience is best in class. The SDO is responsible for overseeing the team of depot coordinators, as well as the workforce, to ensure that the day to day processing and coordinating of container movement and container repair is accomplished safely, which meets the goals and objectives as set out by the General Manager, Depot Operations (GMDO).

**Essential Job Functions**:

- Ensure that all safety rules and policies are followed at all times by employees, truckers, and vendors;
- Oversight of the Depot Coordination team to ensure that procedures are being followed and that the customer needs are being met;
- Scheduling of workforce in the most cost effective way to ensure that we are able to process the truck volume efficiently and also manage the repairs/prep functions;
- Dealing with subordinates, workforce, vendors, and truckers when corrective actions are required and ensuring that same is documented clearly and concisely;
- Oversight of customer container inventories, releases, acceptance policies, M&R guidelines are collected, maintained, updated, and are adhered to;
- Ordering of depot supplies and container parts, under the direction of the GMDO, to ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained;
- Being available by phone for afterhours inquiries and emergencies;
**Skill Requirements**:

- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to lead both unionized and non-unionized staffs while delegating effectively;
- Able to take and execute instruction from senior management;
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail;
- Able to work under pressure in a high paced environment;
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritize on the fly;
- Strong problem solving skills required;
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and Word);
- Above average communication skills both written and oral;
- Positive and outgoing personality with solid customer service skills.

**Qualifications**:

- University degree or equivalent experience required;
- 3-5 years of relevant supervisory experience
