Dogtopia is the leading destination for dog daycare, boarding and spa services. Our mission is to make sure your four-legged family members are kept safe and have a fun time when they are at our modern, open-play facility.
This is an exciting job opportunity for an organized and highly motivated individual to guide a team and business to success As the General Manager of Dogtopia Guelph, you need to be able to actively speak to the business plan, budget, revenue, and health at the store at all times, as well as oversee the development of the team.

**Qualifications**
- Must love dogs (no exceptions)
- Ability to work with flexibility to maintain work flow (may include evenings, weekends or holidays if needed)
- Ability to work cohesively with others in a fun and fast paced environment.
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to manage and motivate the team
- Sales and Marketing experience are preferred

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Demonstrates leadership by being professional and a respectful example for the team
- Sets concise goals for the team and provide follow-up and appropriate training
- Create the team schedules and oversee the daily schedules made by shift leaders
- Maintain optimum staffing levels through interviewing and developing shift leaders during recruitment
- Lead with example by contributing to the positive team-oriented culture
- Maintain accountability for franchise policies and procedures by documenting and correcting actions as necessary
- Ensure operations and facility are maintained to the highest standards, while always striving to address improvement in the store
- Maintain and update the strict cleaning schedule and hold the team accountable to the standards
- Assign additional cleaning tasks as needed to ensure a sanitized and pleasant (odour free) environment
- Keep a list of needs for supplies and repairs, and schedule these monthly
- Continual team training on workplace safety and proper canine handling
- Meet the sales goals by prospecting new clients with the goals to turn leads into dogs in daycare with a goal to fill playrooms
- Meeting the monthly marketing goals as required by the owners and franchise
- Educate the entire team the importance of building positive relationship with the pet parent throughout the entire process - from the initial introduction through the meet and greet and tour of the facility
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of the value of our services and packages to our guests.
- Provide training to the team about the value of our services and assist them with tools and training to close potential sales
- Motivatingthe team to consistently turn meet and greets into sales
- Maintain a customer database and evaluate statistics on new membership activity
- Participate in customer service surveys and provide feedback for areas of improvement
- Assist in the ongoing development and promotion of Dogtopia in the community, and seeking new ways to grow brand presence
- Develop an awareness of competitor services (pricing/offerings)
- Ensuring estimates and invoices are accurate
- Weekly audit of POS system records - vaccination history, address, contact details and credit card information
- Maintain controlled expenses within budget
- Concisely forecast/track and order supplies
- Keep payroll costs on budget and look for ways to maximize efficiency
- Analyze and provide information for P and L statements
- Maintain a neat and organized front desk and client reception area
- Maintain the overall facility in a professional state
- Promptly communicate any concerns or needs to the owner, focusing on solutions instead of complaints
- Focus on revenue goals and actively seek ways to encourage company growth
- Foster an environment - team and facility - that will allow the growth and success of the business
EDUCATION RQUIREMENTS:
Associated education preferred but not mandatory
SALARY:
TBD based on experience
Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
