Under the direction of the Unit Team Lead, the Program Assistant provides reception and clerical program support to the unit/program. For up to twelve weeks per year, the Program Assistant will provide coverage for, and deliver substantially all of the service provided by the Unit Team Lead. This will primarily include coverage for absences related to vacations, earned time off and sick days. This position will be exposed to graphic photos and information surrounding death and requires the capacity to maintain strict confidentiality.
**Job Requirements**:
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
- Administrative/clerical experience working in an office environment; **OR**:
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Preference may be given to applicants with:
- Post-secondary Certificate in a related field.
- Diploma in a related field.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of administrative/clerical experience working in an office environment.
- Medical terminology experience.
- Experience with other relevant productivity software.
