**ABOUT THE JOB**:
The aim of Global Business Service Unit (GBSU) Canada is to deliver day-to-day services to Société Générale investment and corporate bank units and their clients to accelerate their transformation. GBSU differentiates itself from competitors with the pace of the agile transformation delivered, spreading the technology and data culture, shortening the decision-making process, and adopting a true industrial approach, leveraging on different teams either transversal or aligned to the different sub business units.

The Funds Transfer Operations specialist plays a pivotal role in handling all U.S. Dollar payments for the branch and our Global Transaction Payment Services clients, which encompass all Branches globally, as well as other banks utilizing our clearing services and corporations utilizing Société Générale's Cash Management Services. Additionally, this department oversees the maintenance of the bank's U.S. Dollar holdings and ensures the daily reconciliation of our account with the Federal Reserve Bank.

The Operation Specialist will be an essential member of the U.S. team, reporting to both local and global authorities. In Montreal, the primary focus is on executing end-of-day processes to guarantee the processing of all pending payments and the attainment of the target balance for our Federal Reserve account by day's end.

**What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?**

On a normal day, the staff in Montreal will assist the Funds Transfer Team in Jersey City with:

- Repairing and verifying incoming and outgoing payments
- Matching actual funds to expected funds
- Performing reconciliations, reviewing transactions for OFAC Compliance
- Processing the CHIPS Settlement, processing the sensitive counterparties transactions
- Producing reports, producing and resolving the Daily “Incomplete” Report
- Execute Automated Clearinghouse payments (ACH)
- Letter of credits reimbursement payments in Montran LCR
- Producing end of day reports and processing the FED end of day U.S. Dollar Position

The staff in Montreal will also be responsible for working night schedule for a period of four non-consecutive months, the night process focuses on processing CLS payments, Ice Trust, urgent payments, and all Montran payments, as well as checking compliance OFAC.

There will be a rotation in responsibilities between the Jersey City team and the Montreal team.
- Work Schedule:

- Midnight shift 23:45hrs to 07:45hrs
- Day Shift varies in 3 shifts between 8:30 to 19:00hrs
- Available to do overtime on occasion (due to extension on closing time granted by the FED, or Short Staff coverage)
- Because employees are working on US transaction solely, the US holiday schedule will apply

**Skills and Qualifications**:
**Must Have**:

- Good knowledge of CHIPS settlements required
- Good knowledge of the American Federal Reserve Payment System (FED payments) required
- Knowledge of MONTRAN payment system an asset
- Knowledge of SWIFT USD Payments and Inquiries
- Good understanding of the OFAC requirements
- Computer literate, including Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Bank Operating Systems

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent work experience
