We are currently seeking to hire a Production Scheduler to be based at our Orillia facility. This is a 15 months contact position reporting to the Plant Manager.

**OVERVIEW**

The Production Planner / Scheduler will work with the Methods of Manufacturing (MOM) team to take jobs that have been completed through the Methods group and schedule them to the production floor. As the point of contact for scheduling, the individual will be ensuring that production capacities are aligned with promised ship dates.

From a reporting and communications perspective, the individual will also maintain various reports that provide information on the facilities’ days delay, manufacturing capacity, and updated schedule including projected ship dates.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Review jobs coming from MoM team, schedule to floor and different departments
- Work with production team to smooth out capacity overages / underages
- Schedule work through e10 MRP system
- including potential re-scheduling due to unforeseen circumstances
- Print, distribute and maintain production travelers for floor / manufacturing use
- Generate Job Folders in server to track / maintain completed travelers / paperwork
- Generate reports for capacity, days delay planning, scheduling Job Ready as required
- Facilitate weekly Production Scheduling meeting with Project Management team; collaborate with production staff to obtain up to date information to provide to internal customers as required. ;
- Other duties as required
- Spend time in the workshop to fully understand how products are made in order to better understand and communicate scheduling workflow

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILLITIES**:

- 3 - 5 years experience in scheduling / production planning; production planning experience in a fabrication / job shop environment preferred
- Production and Processing - Knowledge of fabrication processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods
- In depth knowledge of ERP / MRP scheduling systems a definite asset
- High School/College degree in a construction related field and/or experience in the signage field or equivalent;
- Appropriate knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel);
- An analytical mindset and able to interact well with colleagues and internal customers
- Ability to analyze and understand plans/specifications/technical drawings an asset;
- Ability to manage time and priorities, organization skills;
