**Responsibilities**:

- Efficiently install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, network equipment, and servers to ensure optimal performance and security across client sites within Metro Vancouver and potentially other provinces across Canada.
- Showcase proficiency in troubleshooting, maintaining, and upgrading both Mac and Windows operating systems including Windows 10 and 11, as well as Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022.
- Diagnose and resolve intricate hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring mínimal downtime and maintaining high levels of user satisfaction.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance and system upgrades to ensure the longevity and reliability of IT infrastructures.
- Monitor and analyze network performance, identifying and implementing improvements as necessary to ensure a robust and reliable network infrastructure.
- Respond promptly to technical support requests, providing effective solutions to end-users, and ensuring a positive customer service experience.
- Collaborate actively with the IT team on various network infrastructure projects, ensuring successful implementation within defined timelines.
- Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements, industry best practices, and emerging IT solutions, recommending relevant updates or enhancements to keep the IT infrastructure modern and secure.
- Create, update, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides, ensuring they remain accurate and up-to-date for use by the team and end-users.
- Be prepared for travel to client sites anywhere across Canada to provide on-site technical support and ensure optimal performance of IT infrastructures.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as an IT Support Technician or in a similar role, showcasing a well-rounded technical acumen.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (including Windows and macOS), networking protocols, and security measures to ensure robust and reliable IT infrastructure.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues efficiently, minimizing downtime and ensuring user satisfaction.
- Familiarity with network administration and configuration, including the management of switches, routers, firewalls, and other critical network devices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, capable of identifying issues and implementing corrective measures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively explain technical concepts to non-technical users, ensuring a positive service experience.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment, adapting to changing priorities and managing multiple tasks concurrently.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, ensuring accuracy and consistency in task execution and documentation.
- Relevant certifications are highly desirable, including but not limited to CompTIA A+, ITIL, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, and CCNA, showcasing a commitment to continuous professional development and mastery of industry standards.
- Commitment to professional growth, with a requirement to obtain a new IT certification each year as a condition of employment, to ensure alignment with evolving industry standards and technologies.

**Requirements**:

- Possession of a valid work authorization for employment in Canada.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a comparable role.
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Possession of a valid BC Class 5 driver's license and consistent access to a reliable vehicle for visiting client offices within Metro Vancouver.
- Capability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs, and arrange for assistance when dealing with equipment exceeding 50 lbs.
- Preparedness to undergo and successfully clear our background and credit checks as part of the onboarding process.
