We are looking for an Operator/Maintainer who can be highly motivated, adapt to changing situations and priorities, interact well with others and demonstrate the ability to both work independently and to contribute effectively within a team. The work schedule will be determined based on department needs and could include 12-hour shift schedule with 7 on 7 off rotation (days and nights). In order to be considered for this role you must possess a Blue Seal Boom Truck Certification.

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor and working in an exciting and unique environment within the Iron Ore Company of Canada, you will:
- Work safely through appropriate behaviors and adherence to IOC safety standards.
- Keep work area safe, clean and well maintained. Take timely action to correct unsafe work conditions in the work area.
- Be responsible for the proper operation, maintenance, and control of equipment to ensure production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
- Communicate all unresolved safety and process deficiencies to the supervisors involved.
- Provide feedback to supervisors regarding equipment performance.
- Maintain a continuous improvement focus by developing and participating in implementation of appropriate solutions to eliminate the issues/problems identified in the work area.
- Challenge the way the work is done.

**What you’ll bring**
- Must have completed High School or possess a General Education Diploma
- Must possess a valid NL Class 03 drivers license
- Must possess a valid NL Class 05 driver’s license with Air Brake (09) and Traction (08) endorsements.
- Must have two (2) years proven experience and competent as a loader and excavator operator; or
- Must have completed a training course on such equipment at a recognized training institution
- Must possess a Blue Seal Boom Truck Certification
