**Nature and Scope**:
We are seeking a Mind Medicine Supervisor to support Mind Medicine programs across Canada. The Mind Medicine Supervisor will work collaboratively with the YMCA BC - Great Vancouver Region Mental Wellness Team, other YMCAs in Canada and Mind Medicine Partnerships to coordinate the delivery of Mind Medicine Programs across Canada.

The Mind Medicine Supervisor is responsible for the coordination of partnership delivery of Mind Medicine including, developing relationships with Indigenous serving organizations, working with established Mind Medicine partnership sites, contract management and onboarding new partnerships.

The Mind Medicine Supervisor provides guidance and support for partnerships during their delivery of Mind Medicine including advising on marketing and promotions, recruitment and curriculum-delivery.

The Mind Medicine Supervisor will hold a high level of knowledge and understanding of Indigenous-serving organizations across Canada and of the Mind Medicine program. They will use these expertise to support YMCAs in Canada who offer Y Mind programs to establish and maintain Mind Medicine Partnerships with Indigenous serving organizations.

**Responsibilities**:
**_ Program Delivery_**:

- Ensures the delivery of high quality community programs at partnership sites
- Provides administrative and program-related support to community partnership sites
- Supports marketing and promotions for Mind Medicine Programs
- Advises on participant recruitment, intake, follow-up and referrals for Mind Medicine partnership sites
- Coordinates program evaluations with partnership sites & McCreary Centre
- Ensures the safety of program participants, staff, and property by following YMCA standards, policies, and procedures

- Maintain strong relationships with ongoing community partnership sites & Y Associations
- Develops new relationships with community organisations
- Maintain an atmosphere of achievement with colleagues and community partners
- Uses creative solutions and strategy to establish new partnerships

**_ Supervising People_**:

- Coaches, develops and supports partnerships to achieve excellence in service delivery
- Provides role and program specific orientation for new partnerships

**_ Planning and Organizing_**:

- Coordinates training and delivery schedules and timelines to meet delivery requirements
- Supports report writing for funders/donors

**_ Fundraising_**:

- ** Collaborate with the Mental Wellness team to reach annual fundraising goal for YMCA Annual Campaign**:

**Qualifications/Experience**:

- Strong understanding of reconciliation and decolonization, particularly in relation to working in the mental wellness field and with Indigenous communities
- Experience in partnership development and management
- Experience working with or supporting programming for teens and youth
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- University degree in health promotion, mental health, recreation, youth care or related field an asset, Masters Degree preferred
- Strong administrative & organization skills including proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated experience in community outreach and promoting community-based programs through partnership building
- Ability to recognize mental health signs and symptoms beyond mild-moderate spectrum and provide appropriate referrals
- Ability to be flexible, adaptable and multi-task in a high demand environment

**Situation**:
YMCA Mental Wellness Programs are an expanding and exciting area of work within Community Operations. Mind Medicine is part of the Y Mind program offering. Y Mind is a 7-week group based program which supports teen (13-18) and young adults (18-30) who experience mild to moderate anxiety to learn coping strategies and connect with peers in a safe and encouraging group environment. The Y Mind curriculum is based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness.

In 2018, Mind Medicine was established in response to a recognized gap in Indigenous young people’s accessing Y Mind. Mind Medicine groups are ran by Indigenous serving organizations for Indigenous teens and youth. Mind Medicine programs delivery the Y Mind curriculum in a culturally responsive way. Mind Medicine facilitators use connection to culture, such as stories and teachings, to support young people to learn ACT and Mindfulness skills for coping with anxiety and stress. An Indigenous consultant and Indigenous advisory supported the development of Mind Medicine, and
