Excel Career College opened as a computer college in 1989. Since then, the curriculum has expanded dramatically, but our focus has remained the same: To provide relevant training to get you into the workforce quickly.

Since early 2022, Excel Career College has undergone rapid expansion bringing our respected approach to dynamic hands-on learning to students throughout BC including new campuses in Victoria, Surrey, and Kelowna, in addition the Comox Valley (Courtenay). Among the many awards it has acquired over the years, Excel was awarded the Professional Business of the Year in 2022 by the Vancouver Island Business Examiner Awards

Excel is PTIB Designated and maintains representation in the BC Career College Association, including representation on the BCCCA Board. The College is a designated institute through the BC Student Assistance Program(Student Aid BC), and all diploma programs offered at Excel qualify for funding options

This is a part-time (20-25 hours ), in campus role that will allow you to make a real impact on the lives of our students. As the campus support person, you'll be responsible for opening and closing the campus, answering inquiries, monitoring students, and supporting our various departments with all things student related.

The role will also include the opportunity to connect with prospective students and advise them on the college programs. Student admissions involves supporting students with their call to vocation.

This role has room for growth for the right individual who is looking to join a dynamic growing organization.

You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Your organizational and administrative skills should be exceptional, allowing you to meet deadlines, manage student records, and respond to student inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in administrative management
- Prior experience working in a private post-secondary education environment is an asset
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to set up communicate effectively.
- Knowledge of accounting, finance and business math an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
