**Key Accountabilities**
**Individual Accountabilities**:
- Formulating the plan of execution for each key strategic objective.
- Communicating the strategic story & progress to internal & external audiences, including senior leaders.
- Digital platform owner, driving strategic technology initiatives.
- Responsible for delivery of business outcomes in alignment with BU/segment/global priorities
- Mobilizes the delivery function and all supporting processes, transitioning the organization to a mature Agile delivery organization and driving the inherent change necessary to achieve results.
- Partners closely with segment CDO and global Agile teams to enable consistent best practices for new ways of working.
- Evolves and drives the planning process for strategic and business as usual outcomes.
- Leads the execution of outcomes requiring cross-functional support considering people, process, tools, and tech.
- Leads the planning and management of resources (financial and people) aligned to BU priorities.
- Reports on progress against all outcomes enabling transparency to all communities and partners.
- Drives a cross-functional set of Value Streams aligned to customer/advisor/sponsor needs; responsible for direct leadership of Value Stream Owners, Product Owners, and Business Enablement Managers/Delivery Leads.
- Institutes and leads a data-oriented approach to evaluating progress; measures outcomes against targets and ensures transparency of results to drive decisions to pivot, pause or persist in partnership with business leaders.
- Connects the Insurance Transformation and IIC strategy to results and outcomes and builds awareness across Value Streams.
- Drives a common experience in the customer/producer/sponsor journey across the Insurance Transformation value streams.
- Manages the interdependencies between technology, operations, finance, marketing, HR and business needs to drive a pragmatic, outcome-oriented delivery execution plan within, and across, Value Streams.
- Develops and drives a culture of continuous improvement; advocates to adopt new best practices and processes.
**Key Shared Accountabilities**:
- Drive a culture of innovation and business agility.
- Defines business strategies and target outcomes, with channel, product, and BU Leaders.
- Resource and financial planning activities in alignment with planned outcomes, with IT and Functional Leads.
- Planning and management of the change management agenda linked with business outcomes, partnering with the Canada segment CDO and Strategy and Transformation teams.
- Coaching of functional staff to achieve results; providing input to performance measurement of leaders and individual contributors.
- Promotes a culture of change and innovation across the Canada Segment (in partnership with Retail, Affinity Market, ILT and Canada Segment leaders).
- Minimizes execution risk while maintaining an accelerated pace of delivery, with Canada Segment and ILT leaders.
**Job Requirement**:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is required; an advanced degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Minimum 15 years’ industry and leadership experience.
- Experience in organizations of similar industry, size, and scope; capable of building consensus in a matrix organization and effectively advocating with senior leadership to secure resources and support required to achieve objectives.
- Business strategy or consulting experience in the private sector.
- Highly knowledgeable of the economic, business, and regulatory environments.
- Track record that includes examples of successful development & implementation of strategic initiatives and/or project management.
- A proven track record of liaising with partners at all levels of the organization internally and within business environments, charitable organizations, and governments.
- A strategic and innovative thinker with the ability to adapt and absorb new ideas and information
- Ability to innovate and solve complex issues.
- Possess the ability to move forward decisively and promptly on projects while at the same time gaining the needed support, buy-in, consensus, and perspectives at all levels in the organization that will lead to widespread stakeholder support of projects.
