Supervisor, Accounts Receivable

PURPOSE
The Supervisor, Accounts Receivable is accountable to the Manager, Accounting for the timely, accurate and complete process of accounts receivable ensuring the integrity of reports and adherence to company/client policies and procedures in addition to maintaining a positive company reputation as a diligent and trustworthy landlord’s agent and client.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
**1. **Daily Accounts Receivable Operations**
Oversees the day-to-day and year-end activities of accounts receivable as well as provides guidance and assistance to accounts receivable personnel to ensure the accurate and timely recording of revenues and compliance with account receivable policies and procedures.
**2. **Monthly and Year-end Accounting Packages and Reporting**
Coordinates the completion of all monthly/year-end accounting packages, reporting and reconciliation of sub-ledgers/general-ledger accounts to ensure all revenues are recorded correctly in a timely fashion. Coordinates and develops relationships with various internal functions to ensure timely submission of required information for the completion of monthly, quarterly and year end processes and reporting, while supporting management with reconciling complex outstanding accounts.
**3. **Continuous Improvement of Accounts Receivable Process**
Evaluates current account receivable procedures and internal controls in conjunction with Managers, Accounting and assists with the implementation of changes within the accounts receivable department to enhance the efficiencies of business processes.
**4. **Informal Coaching of Staff**
Assists with on-the-job training, and coaching of accounts receivable personnel.
**Any other job related duties and/or projects that may be assigned.
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
**Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Education**
- **College Diploma in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent**
- **Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience or equivalent**
**Core Competencies**
- **Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)**
- **Good quantitative analysis skills**
- **Good organizational skills**
- **Strong analytical skills**
- **Coaching/mentoring skills and ability to deliver desk-side training**
- **Attention to detail
**ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS**
- **Practical knowledge of Yardi is an asset**
- **Previous experience in real estate industry is an asset**
