**Department Overview**

- The Wealth, Portfolio Delivery Group (PDG) team enables businesses to successfully initiate, plan, execute and control, both projects and initiatives that deliver against key business strategies. The team is comprised of a skilled & dedicated group of Portfolio Directors, Program Directors, Project Managers and Project Analyst supporting Wealth lines of business.

Establishing and managing the discipline and practice for Project and Program Delivery

Project Demand Management
- Build strong relationships with partner delivery organizations and the functional stakeholder areas.
- Maintain working knowledge of the business plans of the business areas being addressed.
- Ensure sound governance structures for an effective project delivery orchestration
Project Delivery
- Manage a team that delivers and owns project outcomes aligned to established cost, timing, deliverable and scope objectives
- Monitor the program by reviewing key performance indicators in order to address performance/other issues
- First escalation point on project-specific issues
Project Management and Governance
- Drive the foundations of program information, such as data accuracy, clear reporting, and project level financial management.
- Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for escalation on projects, and direct the issue management and escalation process to achieve the necessary results.
- Compliance to, and support of, various governance bodies in TD
Leadership and Management of Team
- Drive improvement in capabilities to become a trusted partner for business and technology stakeholders
- Build team strength by continuously elevating soft and hard skills, capacity, behaviors and motivations of teams.
- Provide vision, leadership and mentorship for project and operations professionals
- Stay abreast of external developments in project management excellence and bring those in, working with peers to implement great new ways of operating.
- Optimize resource mix, including contractors, project managers and support staff to achieve business objectives in a rapidly changing project environment.

**Education/Experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or computer science.
- PMP designation an asset.
- 10-15 years of experience directly related to the accountabilities listed above.
- 5-8 years people management experience and a track record of developing (vis-à-vis coaching, mentoring) high-performance team (we need this because you'll be leading a Program or Portfolio Management Office for a business segment or corporate function).
- Experience overseeing overall program financials and benefit realization analysis for a sizable project/program.
**Knowledge and Subject-Matter Expertise**:
- Natural appreciation for and detailed knowledge of business process and requirements methodologies as they relate to and support project execution.
- Detailed knowledge of PMLC and SDLC methodologies.
- Broad business, organizational and operational knowledge across the enterprise.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and a business development mindset.
- Aptitude to manage large investments of $20-30MM.
**Skills and Attributes**:
- Strength in providing strategic guidance to business/functional leaders.
- Solid communications and diplomacy acumen (listen and respond philosophy), as well as issues and relationship management prowess.
- Proven ability to collaborate enterprise-wide to effectively realize project outcomes, while limiting the number of decision makers to expedite solutions, strong negotiation and customer/client service skills, and eagerness to pursue 'win-win' outcomes.
- Desire to release your entrepreneurial spirit and champion business strategies that address key priorities (e.g. customer loyalty, profitable growth and retention).
