**Position Summary**

The Engagement and Events Assistant will support the Tenant & Community Engagement team to deliver key events and outreach activities for tenants and the wider community.

**Key Responsibilities**

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

- Support planning and coordinating events, such as: Plant Days, the Annual General Meeting; neighbourhood events and tenant outreach activities;
- Recruit and coordinate volunteers for CCOC’s governance positions and for events.
- Promote and conduct annual tenant satisfaction survey;
- Act as a representative of CCOC at neighbourhood and community events, serving as an ambassador for CCOC’s role in the community;
- Deliver communications, education and outreach tools to engage tenants with current CCOC values and priorities;
- Support data entry and analysis of the tenant satisfaction survey
- Performs such other duties as may from time to time be assigned by the Director of Tenant & Community Engagement or the Executive Director;
This position supports the work of Centretown Citizens Ottawa Corporation, Centretown Citizens Housing Co-operative and Cahdco (Centretown Affordable Housing Development Corporation).

**Education and Experience**
- Secondary School Diploma or Equivalent
- Six (6) months of related experience in customer service, administrative or equivalent work or volunteer experience is required
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, with the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and meet various deadlines
- Demonstrated ability liaising and collaborating with various stakeholders (colleagues, volunteers, clients, contractors) to foster positive relationships.
- Experience in event planning
- Intermediate ability to use Microsoft Office Suite
- Advanced verbal and written communication in English
- Knowledge of French is considered an asset.

**Working Environment**
- Normal office environment; periods of light physical activity (for example, intermittent sitting, standing or reading).
- Some degree of physical skill and coordination required (for example; basic key boarding).
- Comfortable physical working environment.
- The incumbent may be exposed to some level of stress.
- Will require working occasional evenings and weekends, (approximately once a week working outside of regular business hours)
