Clinical Care Manager

Touchmark at Wedgewood is Edmonton's leading full-service retirement community, enriching the lives of residents and their families through five-star hospitality, services and amenities. We are currently seeking the right person to join our team as the Clinical Care Manager.
As the Clinical Care Manager, you will enrich lives every day by utilizing your education and experience to oversee the licensed care staff working in our long-term care neighborhood, ensuring residents receive the highest level of dignity and care. You will have the daily opportunity to distinguish yourself and your team of caregivers by taking the time to be a positive presence in the lives of residents and their family members

- Have experience in an assisted living environment, preferably in a management role
- Assist in the planning and coordination of resident care, employee development, and continued quality improvement in our licensed care neighborhoods
- Be willing to work occasional weekend and holiday shifts
- Have a genuine interest in caring for elderly residents and working in a geriatric environment
- Possess a willingness to continue learning and improving skills, as well as a commitment to confidentiality
- Be able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, staff members and visitors
We are looking for a Clinical Care Manager who is patient, tactful, organized and genuinely interested in enriching the lives of seniors who will:
- Have a commitment to Touchmark’s values (hospitality, compassion, excellence, teamwork, and integrity), as well as a desire to model these values and to encourage others to be allies, friends, and givers;
- Be able to observe resident behavior and communicate the observations in a professional and intelligent manner; Accurately and timely complete assessments;
- Assist with admissions and discharges of residents and patients;
- Lead resident care conference meetings with residents and families;
- Evaluate and document the effectiveness of all nursing services;
- Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care plans;
- Provide support to the registered and licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants of the skilled nursing team.
- Have a current RN designation in Alberta.
- Have experience in geriatric setting.
- Physically capable of turning, stooping, bending, stretching, pushing/pulling, moving equipment and furniture, and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Double vaccinated and boostered for COVID.
- Be able to provide a Criminal Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector.
