Alo Catering is seeking an Events Manager to join our team

The Event Manager is responsible for executing successful catering events. This individual is a strong team leader with strong organizational skills and has a keen eye for detail. As a team leader they are able to delegate tasks to ensure event timelines are being followed as well as provide high levels of hospitality and service to clients and attendees at all events. The Event Manager has a deep understanding of our brand identity and delivers our core values to every event.

The Event Manager is also the bridge between the Event Coordinator and the guest. The Event Coordinator is principally responsible for translating the BEO into reality, including procuring rentals, ensuring details are not missed, and guiding the service team through the steps of service.
- Developing & maintaining strong guest and venue/vendor relationships.
- Communicating with the kitchen team to ensure smooth FOH & BOH operations.
- Keeping up to date with the logistics for events at different venues.
- Ensuring that the proper service standards are being carried out by Alo or third party service providers.
- Attending weekly meetings with the kitchen and service team.
- Organizing and delegating responsibilities to the front of house service team.
- Source reliable supplementary event staff if necessary via staffing agencies.
- Procuring necessary rentals, maintaining overwhelmingly positive relationships with suppliers.
- Offering fine detail options to guests to elevate their experience (choice of napkin colour, glassware options, etc.) and ability to source alternatives to suit their event.
- Maintaining the standards and brand identity of Alo Food Group and treating every event as though we are welcoming the guests into the opening of a new Alo restaurant.
- Hours of work are split between assisting with administrative tasks and over seeing events to completion. As Alo Catering continues to grow, there is an anticipation that this role will be primarily offsite service focused.

**Salary**: From $65,000.00 per year
